He did score a few crucial ones, against Dortmund two seasons ago to send us to the CL semis, against Arsenal last season at the emirates, also a 90th minute equaliser against Spurs last season (we still lost).

His record is still poor though.

Better memory than me mate. I suppose the misses stick longer in the mind. Especially due to the frequency of them. I've just seen he's misses roughly 1 in every 3 online. I've listed 4 of the 10 he's missed so wouldn't be surprised if the majority of the others were important penalties too.

The main thing for me is that we got a decent point and top the group. Agree that we controlled the game, but there were some disappointing individual performances. Mahrez, no explanation required! Cancelo proved again that his defensive skills are very poor. Foden didn’t look nowhere near his best and just faded out of the game. Positives were another assured display from Ake, confident display from Ortega, 100% effort as usual from Bernardo when he came on and good to see Stones back. Not a game I would enjoy watching again though. Move on and take 3 points from Leicester on Saturday please.

I'm disappointed for Alvarez. He came to the club on the back of a good run of form and brought that into his first couple of appearances, but now he looks lost.i think he should have started in place of Marez or Grealish in some games. I don't know what he was told when he came, but it can't have been this.
