OK, it was poor but we got knocked out of the group stages before this game and although Mancini would have us all think he wanted the Europa League, did he really?

I can't understand all this nonsense about Mancini, people need to chill out a bit. We had a tough group with Dortmund and Madrid in it along with Ajax. It took Chelsea, United and Arsenal years to get used to the style of play in the Champions League.

We've had a bad experience in the competition nobody can deny that but we're 2nd in the Premier League.

If we don't go on and retain the title now we're out of Europe then the summer is the time to judge Mancini (from the owner's point of view anyhow) not tonight, not Sunday.

To be honest, before the game, I would have been happy to go in the Europa but at the same time, I'm now also glad we're out of it.

I'm also glad to come away from the TV after hearing Gullit, Hoddle and Hamann spouting so much carp. Not one positive word was said and typifies the jealousy surrounding us.

So to sum up whatever the outcome you would be happy! We've been humiliated in Europe over the past 3 months and so called "fans" like you come out with this nonsense.
I'm seriously embarrassed with our new fan base.

Mancini not good enough - he must go now. We need to get Mouriniho sharpish and give him the cash to splash in January/ summer

:) so go get Mourinho Mr. Mad Jack Blue

if someone should take the blame its the whole team including Mancini not only him so those who believe the fucking medias

so

in Spain real madrid want to sack mourinho because bad results... and want to replace him with Ancelotti

in France PSG want to sack Ancelotti after losing 3 matches ( 1st of the group in CL )

Arsenal ... the press and the fans think wenger will step down because...

Chelsea don't even mention

Liverpool crap players some think Rodgers not good enough some think the opposit

Tottenham just 2 weeks ago talking about AVB who might lose the job after the derby 5:2 trashing now 3rd 26 and 5 more than Arsenal !!

then arrive the messiah Guardiola ( i don't know if he is that good or not) who since he is free now he is seen as the saviour because of what not only because he is good but because of the shit medias then the fans starts to believe evertything they hear :)

i still think we will win the league, with mancini in charge.

You have to win the league now or he is doomed.

i agree and i'm sure he'll know that himself.

winning just the fa cup wont cut it if mourinho or pep are available come the end of the season.

Too slow again.

You could see the Dortmund players running back after losing the ball and stringing 5 across midfield, with 4 defenders behind them.

We hadn't even passed the halfway line.

That was really poor but to be fair we did have injuries to 2 of are main players Silva and Clichy and the monster Ya Ya Toure was suspended. There were no postives to take out of this match tonight a part from Tevez who played really well

Cup & league double, along with the shield last August - could be a great season :)

I'm gutted, but I'd take the domestic league title over this "seeded"/stage managed affair every day of the week.

They were much the better team tonight.

Watch Joe Hart's interview and say that again. He was FURIOUS and looked quite distraught. If we wanted to throw the game then Nimely, Evans, and Meppen-Walter would have been on the pitch. We wanted to win and weren't even playing that poorly in the first half other than having no ability to create chances.

People going after those who are angry are as out of line as those who are going a bit OTT with the "sack Mancini now" stuff. Not everyone thinks European football is a side attraction, the Champions League is the home of the elite and, if you care about our club's well-being, where there are millions of pounds to be made which we continue to miss out on which is not good for our fight against Financial Fair Play.

Our performances have been embarrassingly poor and there are no excuses anymore,
Malaga, PSG, and the modern version of BVB have proven that experience means fook all - all three won their groups.
spot on

exept i am pretty sure Malaga, PSG would have died in the Group of Death. So would have United, so would have chelse, so would have arsenal. We also got hella unlucky. Normally teams prove themselves in the knockout stages, not the group stage.
But We got utterly fucked.
Of course, we really could have done better. We really could have beaten real madrid twice, and ajax twice. But we fucked up! I thnk Bortmund is a class of its own and a team that is equivalent to Barcelona two years ago. It doesn't matter who they put on the field, they will be strong.
We can't connect, we can't finish. Thank god We have a Kompany, and a Barry and a Tevez and a Hart. They are the four players that show consistency on the city team. they are the four that are showing believe at the moment. We can't play football together like we used to. Idk how long the wait will be....its worrying me.

Lesson of the day, no matter the money and the talent we have, we are still the unlucky man city team....we are still that city team that goes through so much shit, and suffer so much...and get so much negative criticism. We still sing blue moon because good results and success still happens "Once in a Blue Moon." Admittedly, Luck is rare at city.
Aguero's goal vs QPR was a "once in a blue moon" moment, and so will our progression to the knockout stage.
....But as blues....We look forward. we are hopeful. We believe..

all you negatives "sack mancini" fans suck, and are a disgrace to what city represents. I don't care who is managing city, i'm a blue no matter who is running the show. And right now, i believe in Mancini because he believes in Man city.

This and what a fucking stupid position to be in. No-one would have cared that much about not qualifying, but the worst ever result from an English team? Fuck that for a laugh.

This could just become too much for Mancini. If we're back in it with him at the helm next year the burden of proof could just be hugely detrimental. If it creeps into the players, which it seems to have done already, we'll consistently fail. If everyone thinks Mancini is shit in Europe it doesnt even matter if he's learnt all his lessons, it will just become self fullfilling.

The derby game really is stupidly huge now. If you thought we'de been beaten with the crisis stick so far you just wait if we lose that game and go 6 points behind.

So in other words "think exactly what I think or else you're not a proper City fan".

Great argument, bravo.
