I've a tram question for this game.

I'm staying in Didsbury Wed/Thu night, how late do the trams run after the game. I normally walk back into Piccadilly after the game, but will need to get back to Didsbury afterwards, will I still be able to get a tram after 10:30 pm ?

Perhaps scrounge a lift from @Didsbury Dave ?

Train is much faster. Some of the airport trains stop at East Didsbury and only take seven minutes. They run late as well.

please dont move Gvardiol to LB to accommodate Stones.

Between NOR and RAN there's no reason for him to be playing there any more. Last week I can only assume it was down to both of their fitness.

For what it's worth, I'd be playing RAN for Dortmund and NOR for Liverpool. Stones or kusanov at right back.

Save the two first choice fullbacks for Liverpool.

Think we’ll see Marmoush and Cherki on the wings as he’ll want to save Doku for Liverpool and I think he’ll move Foden to the right on Sunday and pack the midfield. Hope I’m wrong about the Cherki bit mind.

He won’t move Foden wide against Liverpool. I suspect we might never see him there again.

Yes. His newish role as ‘senior’ No.10, keeping us disciplined in attack suits him. He worked hard v Bmth covering a lot of ground. The other central mid attackers, especially Cherki, are freer to risk the creative stuff.
PS Foden and Bellingham for England in similar roles?

A good test to see where we're at in Europe. Win this and top 8 should be achievable with our remaining fixtures, and it takes the pressure off the game in Madrid. The sort of opponent you could get in the last 16/QF so will be good to see where we're at. I wonder if Pep will continue with this Stones hybrid role he's used in Europe so far. It's been effective at times but we've also had long patches where we've looked sterile or been under pressure so it's not quite working yet.

We must win all of our 3 remaining home games because we have Real Madrid away and Bodo/Glimt away in mid-winter (Bodo is inside the Arctic circle and will likely be icy / treacherous).
