Harsh on Stones to be benched for the Champs League. Ever since Laporte made those comments in the press Pep has been rotating the defence to try and keep him happy and I'm not a fan of it. Laporte could have played against West Ham but Stones deserved to start tonight.

Still only the early rounds and gives Stones a good 6 days between games (he’s had a lot of injuries in his time at City)

It’s a very strong team tonight, but it gives scope to a very strong (and fresh) team for Saturday.

Pep’s probably looking at a core of 17/18 players right now that he can rotate and there is no real drop off on the output of the team.

Looking forward to this, as every game right now. Come on City!!
