Bournemouth (A) - FA Cup | Post Match Thread

Bloody hell, with the Forest game is that now 22 trips to Wembley since Pep took over?

Some of the shenanigans being spoken during games about his hunger or his ability is pretty wide of the mark
Isn’t it nearly 30 since the takeover, it’s ridiculous, I won’t be going as it’s just to costly for a semi, get them back upto Villa etc. I’ll be there for the final if we get there though.

We’re in with a decent shout in the cup and the lucrative world club thing. What a shit season. After six of the last seven PLs, I’ll take it. It will keep us warm in the 7th tier courtesy of 115.

We weren't great in the 1st half but neither were we as bad as some are making out either.
Two bad misses from Ealing and an awful pass from nunes made it seem worse.
Great 2nd half and Nico looks like a top class player in the making.. definitely added much needed energy from deep and defended very well.
Excellent support from the travelling fans..

Much better second half by a long way.

Same old slow, complacent and methodical okay in the first half.

Expected much more from Bournemouth and their crowd. Thought they'd be full of running at us and catching us on the break, especially with Kluivert, Semenyo and Outtara.

Another great performance from Nico too.

The thing is, for all the moaning about embarrassing cunts moaning blah blah, we weren't actually very good until we made changes were we? We basically started of as we have for most of this season, the changes injected a bit of pace and urgency into our play and we we looked much better and won, I don't see the issue with criticising when it's bad as long as those people are also happy when we do change and win/play better.

Anyway onwards and upwards, another Wembley trip but truth be told still can't wait for the season to be finished. Hopefully by next season all the shite with the investigation etc will be out of the way and can just enjoy football again, this season has been a total slog in more ways than one.

It was Me. He took off last month's player of the month because he was on a yellow. O Reilly shouldn't have to come on , he has impressed every time he's had a chance this season. Pep got the starting 11 wrong for the umpteenth time this season. And while it wasn't the worst first half this season , it was far to pedestrian with a host of passengers. To his credit he got a much better response second half when we played more direct and used O'Reillys pace out wide. Phil need to be dropped, he offers nothing this season and a central pair of gundog and kovacic is asking for trouble. Thought Kev was on it and pressed brilliantly. While my choice of words may not have been appropriate (I have a soft spot for khusanov) I still feel Peps stubburness is hindering us. Think Gvardiols future is midfield.
Do you stand behind calling Pep a coward?

We should have two matchday threads, one for the one eyed, ball swinging tub thumpers and one for the ones commenting on the match in front of them.

I’m struggling to understand this superhuman first half performance by Bournemouth as seen by some posters.
Looked like a classic city performance of the last few seasons, save for the balls up by Nunes.
Opposition run around in the first half like dervishes and yet create next to nothing. City have most of the ball and create some excellent chances. Second half kicks off and the dervishes are absolutely knackered. City score 2, should have got another 2, concede no shots on target and win at a cantor. Marvellous..
Great shout.
Reality is, Haaland should have bagged at least twice before finally scoring. We would have been in cruise control. They had 1 shot.
If it wasn’t for Nunes then we would have been fine in the first half. I hope all the kfa’s who think he has a place in our team have finally realised that he is a liability.
Tremendous second half performance. Grealish made a huge difference. Nico was fabulous.
KDB put in a great shift.
Another semi - brilliant…

Great performance second half. Came out flying and thought Nico was superb.

Does leave me thinking where that intensity has been in other games during the season.
