Bournemouth (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

I think it has a lot to do ,how opponents usually stop playing and drop back to protect their lead, i also dont get it most of the time.
good point. i remember leipzig doing it sometimes when losing and wondering why. i’ll never understand it i guess.

i wonder how many players who started today would actually be on the pitch today without all the injuries.

This was always going to to be a tough game against a good side. One thing we do know we always fight to the end and we nearly nicked an undeserved point. We’re clearly struggling with players being unfit. We’ll be back though Kev was on the bench and Doku was an immediate impact off the bench. First defeat in a year so I’m not worried at all!

I'm not being a "happy camper" I'm being a realist...

We've had it good for the last 13 years or so, Especially the last 4 years have been beyond what we ever imagined. The last four years of fighting until the very last day of the league along with numerous cup finals and champions league finals look to have taken it's toll on us this season.

That result today has been coming since the start of the season, We've always dug in and got the wins or draws out of games and it could have been the case today even though we wouldn't have deserved it but we could and should have got a point.

We all know the Matchday Thread (Well most of us do) is like, Embarrassing...Along with numerous posts on this thread. I've absolutely hated the Rags since day one because of what they stand for "Entitled Cunts". Unfortunately we've numerous Blues going the same way, Abusing players along with "we shouldn't be getting beaten by Bournemouth" bullshit.

We lost a game of football, Get it over and catch a fucking grip. Part of me wishes we were down in Division Two again just to avoid listening to this bollocks.
the reaction of some is laughable, the post Pep years when we do. a spurs, chelsea or arse and fanny about in 4th place for a few years is gonna be the death of some who have become too comfortable with us winning a lot.

I am grateful for the last 10 years, but we cannot be great all of the time, and if we ain't we can still enjoy being blues and our club.

Was that performance actually any worse than Southampton last week?
Surely Pep cant have been happy watching it so why wasn't it changed sooner? 75 mins to make a sub after being run over continuously is criminal and its cost us a very underserved point

Play like that next week against Brighton and we will get beat again. All the matches we have played over the last 2 seasons has caught up with us unfortunately. The players are tired physically and mentally with little recovery time in-between matches.

What some expect, depleted squad, players playing not fully fit, big players missing. Big games coming up. It's the worst injuries we've ad for years, it's not gonna get better soon. Problem is we had it to good, remember!

Shocking summer transfer window now biting us. Still not sure why pep did not change it at half time & put Phil in the middle with Kev & Doku on
How many times , kev was not there to play , commentator said they were told he would not be playing today as he is still injured

Poorest performance from us in a while, and
there have been a few sub par warning signs too recently. Let's hope this is the season rocket up the arse that we need.

Oh, and I am sick to death of going behind in games. Please, just please, for once can we not start a goal down?

I'm guessing this thread has been well balanced, with rational and well thought out views.

2nd after 10 games. I'd have taken that.

Especially with the players missing, injuries and those playing when clearly not fit.

Means the season can get better when most are back.

It was a shit performance and a shit result. We have these games every year.

It's how you recover from them that defines your season and we've not been too bad at that.
