Bournemouth (A) Post Match Thread

Hopefully we will end up with 98 this season but it wont change my mind in that i dont think we see the best of Dave when Kev is in there with him and it was telling that when he went off we saw the real Dave again in the way he showed for every ball and controlled and dictated play the way only he can.

Just my observations and in no way am i saying dont play them together in future ;-)
I think when they are both top of their game they are very intelligent in how they use the space, both out of form/injured it's a hot mess ha

Dave played well???

Nah not a chance, I love him more than my Mrs but he has been bang average especially 2019.

Hopefully he can pull the strings in the last few weeks because him & Kev have been 6 out of 10
Guessing you didn’t watch the 2nd half?

Only my opinion but if everyone was fit Inc then Walker, Mendy, SILVA, Nico, Gundagun, Mahrez & only because he's been injured to Manny times Vinny wouldn't start.

It's a big shout but Kev on current form would also struggle but I would still pick him just.

Eddersons, Danilo, Zinchenko, Stones, Laporte, Dino, Bernardo, KDB, Sterling, Sane & Aguero.

I did my friend, he was better much better but still not the Dave I would expect.

Look I'm not slagging him off he is & has been the best City player in my 45 years of being a blue & I love him to bits but unfortunately he has been 6 out of 10 with a couple of 7's nothing more.

Now Kev is out we may see him perform like he should.

I noticed this too - Silva came out of his shell. Not sure why that is, but it happened

Yeah you're right mate. Let's criticise a much inferior team for not doing us a favour and trying to play us at our own game, thus playing into our hands and as good as giving us the 3 points before we've kicked off. Howe is a disgrace for not doing everything we would want them to do to give us the best chance of winning, how dare a well known attacking side realise they can't go toe to toe with us after being spanked season after season by us and try and change their approach.

Oh and let's not give any praise to our defensive unit and our game management and control, it's easy to play against the champions, the premier leagues greatest side. some two bit pundit like Michael Owen once said our defence is there to be got at so it must be true and Bournemouth are a shambles for not penning us in our own 6 yard box for the last 10 minutes.

Let's also ignore the 90 minutes of having them chase shadows, tiring them out to the point where they're ready to drop and can't rally together for a sustained push towards the end. In addition, we shouod of course completely dismiss their lengthy injury problems too, including by far and away their best striker being out.

Whilst we're at it, we need to forget our pass completion stats that's been posted on here and the fact we made about a dozen incomplete passes in the entire game, I'm not sure how you can counter a side that doesn't give the ball away but yeah let's ignore all that, it's all shit and let's just call them pathetic for not having a go and not taking a spanking.

Cheers mate, stopped reading after that coz you're boring me and probably a few others shitless ...

Maybe give the second half another watch, he ran the game.

I agree he’s been out of form recently. Everton away is possibly the worst I’ve ever seen him.

But he was good against Schalke. Brilliant against Burton and excellent against Newport.

The latter two are obviously poor opposition, but the idea he’s been 6 out of 10 for the whole of 2019 is just incorrect.

As I said earlier, Dave and KDB have both looked tired and out of form recently and each has probably dragged the other down a bit.

Bernado’s energy and pressing frees up space for his midfield partner and there’s a good argument that he should be the first name on the team sheet at the moment.
