Bournemouth (A) | Post Match Thread

Decent performance and very clinical in front of goal, but still not at our best. Gundogan was superb tonight, excellent distribution and had a big impact in the first two goals. Only slight blot was conceding near the end, but overall a very satisfying evening.

Nice easy win and much better finishing today.
As soon as we made so many subs you knew it would be much more disjointed but some of the players need a rest and some of the subs need game time.
Nice to see Bournemouth fans give Ake a well deserved ovation when he went off.
Nice to see Phil playing well again..
Looking forward to Tuesday night now...enjoy your weekend boys and girls
Ooh I nearly forgot..great support from the fans as well today..well done to them all

City win this game 1 - 4 away from home = Good to get the points but still some questions to be asked. Haaland scores but is he right for this system, could city of scored more (Than 4!)
~
Utd win this game = Ten Haag genius fires Utd attacking side to glory. Rashford scores, is he better than Messi etc.

Great win.

Nice to see us be more clinical after last week.

We dropped off the last 25 mins but only because the game was won and we were seeing the game out.

In some ways it shows that the players coming off the bench aren't as good as we used to have. Obviously Gomez isn't good enough and Phillips doesn't have a lot of games under his belt in the last 12 months either.

Important to point out that Bournemouth had the best home defensive record in the league before this game. Now we have!

Obviously Phillips isn't good enough and Gomez doesn't have a lot of games under his belt in the last 12 months either

Fans were superb tonight! Enjoyed the repetition of particular. We sang throughout. Loved the comical effect,

Mancini wooooah Mancini Wooooah, he came from Italy, we paid him secretly.

We’ll cheat when we want, we’re Man City…

We’re going down with the Bournemouth..

Great job blues. Much needed result.

The result was all that matters tonight, well played to everybody, even pep and using the subs bench and letting in a sloppy goal ? hahaha pep can not win, does not use the bench and the media are all him, but using the bench and the media will say sloppy by Manchester city again,

I am going to upset some on here tonight with

one big downside we have let creep into the team this season is the waving of arms and moaning then turning off when the pass does not come, It's starting to piss me off because it looks bad on the team and the media are jumping all over it with are city players together as a team or individual or team Haaland

Always enjoyable to see us scoring hatful away from home. Thought plenty of impressive performances; Dias, Ake, Foden, Grealish and especially Lewis and Alvarez, who both had the best I’ve seen them play for a while. As was said on the match thread, Alvarez does give the ball away more often than most City players we’ve seen in the last decade, but against opponents like this his energy & hounding is really effective.
And as for the last 10 mins, I wonder if Carney and all the other ‘big squad’ bullshitters in the media were watching.
