Subs not unnecessary- we need to protect players when we’ve so many games coming up. If Pep hadn’t made the subs when 3-0 up & the players had been injured he’d have been criticised for not using them

Agree re last 20 minutes. The main quality players weren’t there. Haaland; Grealish; Rodri; Gundog; Ake; & of course -KDB

Great win. On to the FA cup now.
And Bernie.

i got to disagree on Lewis. positionally he struggled and i think he’s an average player (right now) in an elite team.

He should hopefully improve and physical development will help massively - i recall TAA for example getting roasted by Rashford at OT as a skinny teenager and now he’s much more physically imposing.
Pep Guardiola disagrees.

Well played City!

We looked good first half, energetic and we had pace to our game and scored the goals. The second half lacked the same intensity when the subs were made but the game was won, even though it was annoying to concede the goal.

I though some young players played well. Alvarez made a difference with his pressing and I'm glad to see Foden back and getting fitter.
He's a handful when he gets going and we've missed him. He took his goal well too.
I hope he moves into midfield next season.
Also Rico is going to be some player, he takes a lot of punishment but never hides and is always wanting the ball, i think he'll be a future star for us.

I'm glad Pep used his bench today and got some minutes not only to Phillips but also Gomez.
I don't really understand the some of the negativity against them, they've hardly played, so they aren't going to be anywhere fit enough or on form and i don't really think they did anything wrong.
Also I thought Perrone looked good, composed on the ball and had some nice touches, i'm looking forward to seeing more of him. I hope they all play in the week.

Anyway another win and we keep the pressure on the arse and distance to the pretenders behind!

Ill take 4-1 away anytime although could easily have been 5/6 and should have been. Not sure what Phillips contributes ? ...at best hes a squad player atm. Love Rico. Very exciting prospect.

Check this out.

Didn't take long to prove the Ederson Penalty was not the new normal corrupt fuckers.

Unreal how overt corruption is.

Same ref also, Taylor, ignored this today but gave Arsenal a penalty v us for similar. Just shows how we are officiated differently by the same officials, Taylor is always very dodgy when officiating us
