its os adaptable.....in the last game it looked like we just had two at he back at times (certainly when we had the ball) ...the good thing about dihno is that he is so intelligent and able to follow what Pep wants so when we don't have the ball he was always int he right place when defending in the swansea game)

only problem i worry about here is the fast break if there is a sudden break down in midfield........kolarov is so slow he can't and doesn't recover and that leaves stones one on one sometimes with dihno busting his arse to get back.......thats why id want company there as one on one we have no one better......maybe pep is saving company for the champs league game????

Doubt it. Given Kompany's absence I can't see him starting against Monaco unless we have injuries. The biggest issue in that line up is the lack of defensive midfield cover for the central defenders.

Obviously the weak area of the team but I prefer him to Clichy. What other choices are there ?

I prefer Clichy in fairness, just about. Lesser of two evils in my opinion.

I think our forward options are enough without the 'but Kolarov is better going forward' reasoning.

You've gotta applaud his decision in not splitting up too much a winning team,however if he had been as strong a bit sooner we may not have been this far behind

Id worry if it was against a strong team though but it might not be too much of a risk tonight with that team selection....against the likes of chelski etc i would question it however

I would also bet any money if Aguero came on and scored, he'd hit the bench next game with any form irrelevant.

Sterling has played on the right so it's a good job you ain't picking the team.

As some are saying. It could be a back three, Sagna anywhere across the back 3/4 or Fernandinho at centre half.
Possibly all of the above in one game!

I dunno. Sometimes Pep really does leave you scratching your head with his team selections. I mean you'd think he'd play Kompany just to help Stones' development at the very least.

Yep. I thought maybe he was easing him in gently - not wanting any new injuries etc. But maybe he just doesn't fancy him? I thought he would be perfect for peps system. Good distribution, quick and good decision maker.
