neither Sagna or Dinho are CBs, so my point stands. When you have Vinnie or Ota on the bench and only 1 CB on the pitch, you're taking a pretty hefty risk.

Waiting for the starting line up with Guardiola at the helm has become exciting and intriguing because this guy is brave and he works in a single minded way to achieve his goals, so there are going to be big decisions and surprises along the way.

The only big issue in this game this time around is Kompany not playing and that can be due to two things:
- Consultation with medical staff and Kompany himself and an agreement on a reasonable plan or schedule to get him back on the pitch whilst reducing the risk of re-injury
- Guardiola is not convinced YET that Kompany can implement his plans.

The first option will be the obvious one and the right one and it certainly makes sense. Medical history is very very important when it comes to dealing with these situations and Komapany's dreadful record over the past 2-3 years almost dictates this approach from Guardiola. Fernandinho comes in as center back and I for one am intrigued and fairly comfortable about it. I don't trust Otamendi and I am glad Fernandinho is given a chance to play at CB.

As for the front three, well it was very difficult for Guardiola to change it. The media can distract and sensationalize to make it an issue but the bottom line is that there is no one to drop from that front three and Guardiola is not into appeasement. Aguero will have to wait for his time to get back into the squad.

So good calls all around. Sagna is back, which is also good. It is not going to be an easy game but we have more than enough to get the win. Three points is all that matters so a 1-0 victory will be perfect.

Vinny remains a risk and Ota has had a niggle... Let's just wait and see, aye!!
