Time to try something different.
How about a fluid front three of Foden, Alvarez, Mahrez with Grealish, KDB, Rodri in midfield.
Bernado plus 3 in defence.
We are going to have to out manoeuvre what will be a static, deep lying 5 man defence.

Maybe the perfect solution for the players not passing the ball to Haaland is to put him in midfield and play him as a false nine. We can then pass the ball sideways to him. We do seem awfully good at that.

Go at them, absolutely all out attack. With the quality we’ve got we should destroy these if only we had the confidence to just fucking go for it.

Unfortunately I sense another dull tactical possession masterclass with no service to Haaland, about 75% possession, twenty shots and a 1-1 draw after they somehow fluke their one attack into a goal, or a dodgy var decision if the PL think we‘re going to win.

I think we can afford to have Gomez at left back today. I think he and Jack would work well together. Phil on the right with Walker. Let's attack them today. Hope Kev is back.

To be fair, we played with good intensity in parts of the last 2 games, especially first half of the games. In the forest game we created a lot of chances and played some direct football. We just couldn’t put chances away.

In the Leipzig game, we started really well and were direct but often couldn’t get the final ball right

So we can do it and sometimes do. The problem in some games is it seems we relax too much when we take the lead, the intensity seems to drop and we let teams back into it. We seen it in the Everton game, the last two games and even the game against the rags to a degree, even though we got shafted by bent officials.

I’m not sure why, it’s clearly a mentality thing too, it’s becoming too common for it not to be.
Bang on with this post…it’s in parts of games and when we score one we seem to drop a gear like you say. Great point

I do the route for home matches in reverse. 9 hour round trip if you are lucky. Today Its a 10 minute drive to the ground. Just off for breakfast now with the dog and missus to a beach side cafe.

Still not forgave him for his foul throw in.
