I wonder if MP might be bold and play a 442 with a diamond shape midfield of Fernando at the base, Ferny and Navas either side with Silva at the top behind Kelechi and Sergio. I doubt it somehow
 
Sod the Chumps League, put the players with the most desire on to the pitch and lets get our league challenge back on track.

The sooner the Club realise that the Premier League is our bread & butter and the most important competition then I for one will be a lot happier.
 
think Nasri will start and will introduce KDB in second half. Don't think they'll push De Bruyne to start with the CL mid-week.
 
Given the form and controversy surrounding MDM at present there is no way he can even be on the bench tomorrow.

His betting on football matches may prove to be a smoking gun but its high time MP picked the best 11 and the best bench.

If he cannot even get the basics right no matter how things pan out during the game and the adjustments needed to suit the situation then we should replace him somebody who can.

At least he cannot play Yaya in a slow understrength midfield tomorrow as that decision has been already taken away from him.

We crushed Spurs away from home 5-1 when we played to our strengths and exploited there weaknesses which we are more than capable of doing.

The time for majority possession without creating gilt edge chances with quick movement either on the break or from gaining possession in midfield and then fast breaking have to end.

Our game style is turgid , pedestrian and allows oppositions to walk through a non existent midfield when we inevitably lose possession.

The skill set of our players like Silva and Kun and Ferny have had the life sucked out of them with this tempo or lack of it I should say for pretty much 18 months under this manager who just isn't suited to the premiership as a manager as he has no idea of how to combat change that inevitably occurs throughout a game.

I agree that the league games are more important at this point. But there is no way that the Club will ever "realize" that the Prem is the most important competition because it frankly is not. I know some fans don't like it but for big clubs, the CL is always the biggest prize.
