Bournemouth away

They actually claimed that was a eufa directive, which was utter lies and bollox after the debacle at Celtic
I went to the Celtic game and left it as late as possible to collect my ticket. Probably took me about 20 minutes in total. I believe a lot of the problems earlier in the day were due to a number of coachloads arriving at the same time.

Disagree.. too few staff, poor organisation, queuing in the pouring rain. The issue with tickets is not point holders...its the club syphoning them off to all and sundry!

Yeah as I said previously I've occasionally benefited myself.

However, the current system has been in place for more than twenty years so if you were 55 in 2004 then what happens to your points when you're now 75 and decide that you've had a good innings, but it's time to retire?

I suspect that we all know.

It’s human nature to help out a friend or family member if you can. So it’s going to happen. I’m not saying people don’t have the right to be a pissed off if they’re regularly just missing out through points and they know this is going on. But at least the tickets are going to actual City fans.

It’s the sheer volume of total randoms at the hardest grounds to get tickets that intrigues me.

I’m not even annoyed about it anymore. It’s just genuine curiosity as to how and why it happens for a game like Bournemouth especially.

I don’t disagree with any of your points, and from my experience the ticket collection only worked effectively when we had very small and manageable followings, Kyiv and Bucharest.

I do wonder however, were older blues with a lot of points to stop buying tickets, to use or pass on, would they really then all be available to lower points holders. I’m not at all sure that the club wouldn’t just see it as an opportunity to cut the general sale pot still further and pass them out the back door. I actually think that the more tickets that are bought by people with say 28,000 plus points, the harder it is for City to cover up what really happens with a lot of tickets.

I agree with the pouring rain bit! It was biblical.

You"re also not wrong about the way the club distributes the tickets either.

I’ve said for years that the fairest way is to pick tickets up in person in the city. I know City messed it up big time but I’ve been to nearly 100 aways with England and it’s worked seamlessly for over 20 years.
I think it’s there for everyone to see that, when you had to have your name on the ticket and show it against your passport like Real Madrid in the semi a couple of years back, the points total went very low and we only had about 1500 tickets.
I’m sure loads will complain and try to stop this happening as it won’t suit them if they take advantage of mates tickets but it’s definitely the fairest system.

Did anyone with a beady pair of eyes catch how many went on sale this morning at 10am?
No but there are currently 427 left which equates to 32.67% of all available tickets. There should have been 784 available to points holders (60%) and even accounting for the 39 out of that pot for the 18 - 25 group which has sold out that means 318 have been sold to people on 32k or more as well as the 39 to the 18 - 25 group. Do we really have that many fans on 32k or more?

Tbf they wouldn't of added restricted view tickets yet not sure how many there are of them though.
