Let's be honest this is the sort of game that good old 'typical City' would have lapped up. An eminently winnable home game against a struggling side who had played midweek and with us nicely rested on the back of a brilliant away performance in the derby. Perfectly set up for a back to earth with a bump defeat. Fortunately (and now having said all this hopefully) we're a different animal these days. A comfortable win.

Should be a easy straight forward win on Saturday. Bournemouth have always hated coming to the Etihad and Saturday will be no different from the last meetings.

Today would have been the end of the line win or lose. Not getting past the next round playing with an academy team...Shame we're out of the League Cup so early as these are the perfect games to keep squad players happy.
