Bournemouth v City post match

Just watched the highlights. Sane came very close to scoring. He's got a goal threat to his game which is vital for a wide forward. Both our wingers are scoring now as well as creating. that aspect of our game has improved this season

Certainly a big difference between him and Navas that's for sure! You certainly do get what you pay for sometimes!

We could have done with the extra goals. Goal difference could be important end of season although if we keep winning it will take care of itself.

Sterling is becoming an absolutely key player for us in terms of goals and assists. Some said he didn't have end product. He is also under-appreciated defensively. I sit on the touchline, and one of things that perspective gives you is how intense the game is. You see the quick feet and aggression of the players and Sterling's tenacity stands out. People think he is soft, but he isn't. he really works hard. last season when our game was in a bit of disarray he was one of the few players who would press the ball whilst the rest just stood off the opposition

Consistently is the key for Razza,a la David Silva.......home & away, game after game after game.

Here's hoping !!

I think sky coverage was hit and miss last night. Mentioned money 4 times in build up and once in match (using the inflated figure of course). They tried to show graphic of net spend since 2014 (with City biggest spenders) Neville almost skipped over it and tried to avoid it as discussion point but Sky agenda was clear. After the match Neville was waxing lyrical about Sane, saying he looks like an amazing player. His hesitation over us catching Chelsea or us being favourites for second was fair enough. Tough games coming up and break up of schedules meaning momentum for anyone will be unpredictable. Quinn was both glowing and needlessly negative about us as usual.
Weird that I really like Neville the pundit. Only one who talks sense. The rest are fuckwits.

Didn't think I'd say that 7 years ago.

There's never been a more underrated player in the prem than David Silva.

And rarely has there been such a rush to take a goal away from a forward.

Sums it up very well.

Was a bit frustrated with Yaya and The Prince's almost robotic backwards passing of the ball last night. Also Stones' habit of squaring the ball then charging back towards his own goal looks panicky. If we'd have been totally on the front foot we could have had it wrapped up long before we did.
Once again, Dave was worth the entrance fee alone. What a majestic turn and control on the volley he did. Wilshere was chasing his shadow all night until Dave showed him how to tackle.

Caballero deserves #1 spot until the end of the season frankly, and a one-year extension if he wants it.
Sagna was solid and a real tough player, highlighted when he was clattered by Fraser and both hit the floor only for Bacary to get back up two seconds quicker and clear it.
Stones is progressively looking more and more like the player we signed, was brilliant like everyone in the first ten games and I think he was back to that tonight. That tackle!
Kolarov deserves a special mention for quietly going about his business and doing well in a new position once again. He's the leader of our backline right now. Don't drop him Pep.
Fernandinho makes a very good LB. Think that's where he'll stay for most of the rest of the season because Gael and Aleks aren't trusted there. Looked tidy and had his class back.
Touré had his worst game since he came back for me, although that's not saying a lot. He wasn't awful, but gave it away far more times than he usually does. Hard game for him.
De Bruyne had another game where he played well despite not really doing much. Should've had an assist at the end.
Silva was on another level. Almost every touch, every pass was perfect. His vision is on another level to anybody else in this league.
Sterling was the other standout player. Goal and assist, looked confident and could've had more.
Sané played well for the most part I thought, unlucky not to score and set up Sterling's goal well. Very exciting to watch.
Aguero still doesn't get this system. Give him time.

a very professional away performance that. we looked pretty solid, even when they were launching the long throw ins i felt we would cope with them. willy does make us feel a lot more solid at the back (pardon the pun).

sterling and sane looked dangerous, but come on, David was sublime with and without the ball last night. A gem of a player and i hope he never gets old! :-

Sane has the key attributes that you can't teach; he'll learn the other stuff.

Thought Sane was down a notch on recent performances last night. One or two very sloppy passes when we were in great counterattacking positions and 'over' dribbled a bit as well. Still, he's got good technique and pace and that's a fantastic default setting. Won the ball in the air several times as well and kept the full back pinned back all night.
The whole team was a bit ragged at times. Some great stuff some of the time and then really ragged at others; our passing out of defence in the first 20 minutes of the 2nd half was out and out dreadful, and Bournemouth getting tight quickly on Ya Ya was probably key to that.
The one man who rose above it all was Silva, who was sensationally good from start to finish, as good a performance as I've seen from any City player this season
