Boxing's just great.

Re: Boxings just great.

Watching a true all time great live in action is an experience that you'll never forget and I've been lucky enough to see quite a few of those mentioned in the flesh.

Watching boxing on TV is good but being ringside or not far away really shows you how tough those people are. It's why I have even defended Audley on here, when people have called him a shit house and a coward. No one who climbs through those ropes is a coward.

A lot of my favourite fighters over the years have not been world class or even close to it but grafters with limited ability but heart of a lion. Probably my favourite fighter in this catogory was the late Najib Daho.

Having watched most of Hatton's fights. Loads of the clashes between Benn/Eubank/ Watson/Collins and many more top fighters, I still think my favourite all time fight was that crazy Saturday afternoon at The Free Trade Hall when Daho put Pat Cowdell away in the first round.

This is a great time for boxing right now.

Mayweather V Canelo
Matthyse V Garcia
Haye V Fury
Pacman V Rios
Bradley V Marquez

But there are to many 'paper champs' the fact the Broner is a three time world champion without having really fought any of note or the best in each respective division says it all really.
Good shout about the kid browner it's like a gay shithouse thing between him and the money man Floyd cringeworthy he's my brother we can't fight BULLSHIT .fuck that get it on NOW.

Bernard Dunne V Ricardo Cordoba to be there live to watch it ringside amazing stuff. 5 knockdowns over 11 rounds a fight of the year contender and a amazing atmosphere.

Also I loved some of the domestic fights. Mat Macklin v Jamie Moore was a brilliant fight for me.
Also Alex Arthur v Michael Gomez was a brilliant fight too to watch.

Theres so many fights to mention. Saying that there is some tasty fights to look forward to seeing involving British and Irish fighters which will be brilliant to see.
Haye v Fury it will be good for as long as it lasts.
Frampton v Quigg when it happens it will be a brilliant top class fight and worth a PPV billing.
Groves v Froch another 1 that will be a great watch the young pretender to Frochs title and add in James Degale too all good.
Khan v Brook another that should and will happen and well worth a look.
Also with the Barker V any of Macklin , Murray , Lee and even Billy Joe Saunders there is some tasty fights. Its all about getting them signed and sealed. Boxing within the UK / Ireland are in a strong place to put on some big shows and big fights.
Propper post so glad you mentioned macklin v Moore a proper fight and your list is impressive but no shout for golovkin from kasakstan he is on another level mate have you seen him fight he is a must see also shout goes out to hughie fury gonna be good but untested its a dodgy weight division lately. Heavyweight that is.

Golovkin is a brilliant fighter and he destroyed Mat Macklin in his last fight. I honestly think he will dominate the Middleweight division. None of the British fighters will fight him after the Macklin fight. Even Marthinez wont go near him. They could well put him in with Froch some time next year. I rate him highly but he will be avoided that showing in the US will get him some big pay days but not in the Middleweight division he may have to move up a division for the big pay days.
I also seen the best of Super Bamtamweight fighters. Thats the division I seen a lot of fighters fight. From Munroe , Willie Casey to World Champions Benard Dunne , Ricardo Cordoba , Rigondeaux the best technical fighter I have seen live amazing fighter. There are some really talented fighters out there that some of the general sports fans wouldnt know of and its a shame they dont.

The Gatti/Ward fights was by far the greatest for me.

I thought the same thing. I'd also throw the first three Marquez/Vazquez fights in there too.

Brutal, that is all. My head actually starting to bang just watching this fight, my god.

Re: Boxings just great.

Felix Trinidad against Oscar De La Hoya is another fight I liked. It was a good fight with a major decision going against De La Hoya I had him winning by a round or 2 on the night but saying that the more I look at it in the past I had it for Trinidad one week and De La Hoya the next the more I watch it the more my opinion changes. Shocked they never had another fight.

Re: Boxings just great.

Hopkins V Trinidad was a classic too. Tito got school by the wise old owl BHop.

I think as soon as Broner takes on a worthy challenger he'll be beat. Thats why he pusssied out of the 140 division to fight a feather fisted Paul Mal, and could only get a split decision. GGG and Mattyhse are the two to look out for in the coming years, two heavy hitter who will fight anyone, anywhere.

If he struggled to beat Mallinagi he has precisely no chance vs Mayweather

First question i asked when i heard about the film "the fighter" and heard Mark Wallberg was Ward was, who is Gatti? How can you make a film about a man's life and gloss over his greatest fights with a small caption at the end, load of bollocks.

Just had a look on Wiki (about the film) and that is fucking disgraceful.
