Brace yourself for Mrs Brown's Boys bbc1 tonight.

Well I thought it was really funny. OK, so the comedy isn't cutting edge, about kicking 'Call Me Dave' or written by the Footlights mob, but Christ, lighten up a bit.

Some genuinely funny moments of slapstick, good dialogue and likeable characters. Why so serious?

Wasn't as bad as I thought - was expecting an Irish Danny LaRue with script by Chubby Brown.

G/f seen the show a few times and was looking forward to it - she was pissing herself all the way through - not laughing she's just incontinent.

I've seen them all at The Opera House and watched this last night. It's different, not sure if the format is suited to TV, but it had me and my young lad laughing. Hopefull for the rest of the series.

Well after reading this thread and wondering what it was about I decided to watch it on catch up and it had me laughing. Just good old slapstick humour and not to be taken too seriously. Will look for the next one.

The viewers for the first programe was 2.6 million people that watched it not too bad for a new comedy but its over the next few weeks will be the acid test if they loose viewers or win them but O Carroll was surprised by the big numbers that they done.

...funny it might be buh' wot the fucks up with all that enhanced studio audience que'd up laughter ? t'was thinkin it's old reel from Faulty towers or Fools n' horses ! !

They need to get rid of the canned laughter from it. I dont mind filmed as live in front of a crowd of people it gives it something different to other comedies out there. I beleive it is being recomissioned for another series.
