Sane is out 6-7 weeks, not 6-7 months. Give Brahim the chance while Sane is out. He might flourish together with KDB, Silva, Dinho etc. That could save us 60m, by not signing Mahrez. The worst thing that can happen is that Brahim plays bad, and then he could be subbed off early in the second half. He has been impressive every time he has entered the pitch this season, and if we sign Mahrez, he will certainly not have a future here. Remember that Sane has been dreadful on the left wing several times this season, and we have still won most of our games. I don´t think Brahim will ruin our season, so why couldn`t Pep just give him a chance?

i reluctantly agree. if we sign him i can't see how diaz gets enough game time or even fits on the bench when everyone is fit. i think for him he should go somewhere where he will play. tbh it might be a bit over the top, but i dont see how any young player is going to get a proper chance any time soon.

They never will, we just seem to buy someone instead. I am not against buying players, but sometimes you can give your academy players a chance before you spend 60m for a backup

Well said.

We're TWELVE POINTS clear.

This is the perfect opportunity to blood youngsters.

If Pep won't give him a chance when there is a comfortable margin for error, he never will.

fuck off with this, please.

12 points becomes 9 with a loss by risking playing a kid. 9 is squeaky bum time with having to play them, chelsea, spurs, arsenal etc etc.

You can never, ever take it for granted. No margin for error. Pep picks teams to win matches. End of.

I don’t agree. Diaz has had one good dribble and a dozen nice passes but that’s it, is that enough to say impressive? You cannot rely on a young kid in the way we’re going for the trophies we are.

I already think we’re relying too much on young players up front who aren’t in their prime (Sterling 23, Sané 22 and Jesus 20) who all have a hell of a lot to learn. Kun is 30 soon enough too.

Signing a potential World Class 26 year old with three years Prem experience could be the difference between one and four trophies this season!

Sané is only 22 anyway. He could be on our left hand side for another 8-10 years and Diaz might never be better than him and never push his way into the team next season or the season after.

You never know if you can rely on Brahim unless he actually gets a few games for us and shows how he performs. He has done nothing wrong when he has been subbed on, what more does he have to do?

Right.......

Because with the likes of Aguero, De Bruyne, Sterling, Fernandinho, Silva, Walker, Otamendi, Stones, Ederson on the pitch it'll be the fault of a kid that we lose a match.

If playing Brahim in the odd game or two is the biggest thing we have to worry about we're doing bloody well.

No but not having a sane, sterling or mahrez (or similar) might. Small margins at this level mate.
