Was thinking the same thing. Sterling’s contractual dispute will certainly open up a pathway to the First Team Regulars if it continues and if Diaz shines in his opportunities the pressure will be on, particularly if Raheem doesn’t live up to last seasons numbers of key goals.Maybe the Sterling saga will increase the chance of Brahim getting game time
If, however, it comes to pass that Brahim wants a move at the end of the season and he gets one with the usual buyback clause then that may not be the end of the story. If he happened to go to, say, West Ham and play for Pellegrini for a couple of years then come through as a blue chip young player then we could resign him and everyone would win.
