It's ridiculous mate. Same reason why Mahrez thread in performance forum is at the top, despite him not starting in either of our last two games... scapegoat

Lol true, think he’ll start this weekend. Hoping for a Motm performance to close some mouths!

Shame. He's no doubt seen Sancho thrive so is not hanging about. I don't blame him either. People slagged Pellegrini off for not giving youth players a chance when we were comfortably winning with 20/30 minutes to go. Pep really is no different.

For a player like Brahim it could be easier to assimilate given the qualities of the players around him. He's not having to do the dogged work. Unfortunately stockpiling big money players for every position means they block the path.

I also think it is a problem of mindset. When Pep was at Barca he had no problem giving some no mark a chance (Cuenca, Tello, Jefferson Suarez) alongside the top players because Barcelona expect it.

Do we expect it? Given the comments no. Some of the comments make it seem it's acceptable. What's the point of the EDS if it's not producing players for City? I don't want to develop players for others. Some will just not be up to it and move on, but at some point we have to look at ourselves and admit there is a problem. As fans we used to take pride as being a club that gave youth a chance. That has changed.

It's disappointing for me that Sancho and Diaz are leaving/left.

The bigger picture in the argument that getting around 10 million and 15 million for each player, is that for an established pro to replace them/get purchased in their positions it will cost 100 million plus. Instead of buying B Silva and Mahrez, we could have kept Sancho and Diaz played them more and saved a lot of money in wages and transfer fees.

Using Sancho as an example. He was sold 18 months ago. Started getting game time 12 months ago and is now worth 70+ million.

Diaz will no doubt be the same in 12-18 months time once he has played some games. He will probably be worth 50+ million.

There's no long time planning at all. Even with no left back and Delph struggling this season Zinchenko can't get on the pitch. So he will probably be next to leave.

Bernardo was worth every penny. Would rather have Sancho or Diaz than Mahrez though

Anyone who thinks there is no long term planning needs to seriously question themselves; do you know where we have come from?
