I have always had my bread/Barm or even dare i say, muffin buttered for bacon and/or sausages sarnies...and would never consider it any other way!

But my wife who hails from the West Midlands has always thought this strange (she has it dry with ketchup/brown sauce on….) and i have always retorted with "Its a Northern thing" !!

But when i was over in April, my pal who lives in Chester said no way is this a Northern thing, its just me!

So, come one all you Bluemooners, answer the long asked question....

"Do you have your bread (or Barm/muffin so as not to discriminate) buttered with your bacon and/or sausage butty or not?"

Buttered barms are reserved for chips.

I have butter on bread no matter what's going between it. Even on French bread that's just being used to mop up pasta sauce or whatever.
Same as, the taste of butter mixed with juices is superb

-- Fri Jul 29, 2011 6:48 pm --

WTF is a barmcake ?

Id never have bacon with a cake buttered or otherwise, Bacon is savory, you barmcakes.

I would defo have butter on a good old fashioned English Muffin. Melted butter and bacon fat running between the fingers MMMMMMMMMMMMM

I could murder a sausage muffin with brown sauce now, but can't as i live in Germany now :(

Got to be buttered by the way.

Does depend what on the sandwich etc....never with bacon or sausage for me...always with chips or say a tuna or chicken one...
