Funnily enough Arsenal's possession average this season would have broken the record if not for us this season I believe.Average possession 71.22% ? Did even Barcelona have that ?

Too late pal, they've already won the We Beat City Trophy.
If we get 99+ points this season we will be the best team in the history of English football - FACT.
The top 3 teams ever in England (converted to 3 points for a win) are:
1978-79 Liverpool 98 points (P42 W30 D8 L4)
1960-61 Spurs 97 points (P42 W31 D4 L7)
204-05 Chelsea 95 points (P38 W29 D8 L1) - Chelsea are the best points per game ever.
We are currently 87 points (P33 W28 D3 L2) with 5 games to go.
Win all 5 = 102 points
Win 4 draw 1 = 100 points
Win 4 lose 1 = 99 points
Win 3 draw 2 = 98 points
Do this and become the best winners ever and Dyche becomes manager of the season? What a joke.
Yep I've had my eye on that Tottenham season for a long while as "the most wins in a top flight season(31)" is a stat they are quite proud of.If Manchester City get 99+ points this season they will achieve the highest points total ever in the history of English football - FACT.

City are currently on 87 points (P33 W28 D3 L2) with 5 games to go. If they...

If Dyche or anyone else becomes manager of the season as a result it will be a complete and utter joke.
Its only fair , after all they tried to nick our "largest attendance" record. (But failed as it's a largest attendance outsude Wembley). They did manage to steal the rags slightly less awesome largest league attendance record though.Yep I've had my eye on that Tottenham season for a long while as "the most wins in a top flight season(31)" is a stat they are quite proud of.
We can still take that from them with 4 more wins. :)

There's a table part of the way down the page. All this talk of records - can anyone confirm that City scored 104 goals and conceded 100 goals in season 1957/8. -?
I believe they finished 5th and Joe Hayes scored 25 goals that season.
I have tried to look on Youtube but they do not have any stats. about 1957/8 season
Cheers
So just to summarise -
Most points in a premier league season - 95 Chelsea 2005/05
Most points in an English top flight season adjusted for 3 points - 98 Liverpool 1978/79
Most points in a La Liga season - 100 Barca 12/13 & Real Madrid 11/12
Most points in a Serie A season - 102 Juventus 13/14.
Most points in a bundesliga seasons (adjusted for 38 games) - 91 (101) Bayern Munich 12/13.
So if we win our last 5 games, we'll have had the joint best league season in history across the 5 top leagues.
