Breaking records/stats thread

Ah. Cheers. Going to start keeping an eye on Villa's matches, Martinez is Eddie's only realistic threat for a second Golden Glove and he's young enough to beat Hart's record of 4.
Also, he's on 14, keep defending the way we have been and he's an outside shot at Cech's 24 in a season, in less appearances.

Fewest goals conceded in a PL season -

Chelsea - 15 (2004/05)
Arsenal - 17 (1998/99)

We've conceded 4 in our last 14. With 14 games left if we keep it up we'll be the 3rd team to concede fewer than 20 goals in a season. Worth pointing out that those teams scored 72 (Chelsea) and 59 (Arsenal) goals respectively, so even if we fall slightly short of them it will have been playing much more attacking football.

Something for Dias and the boys to aim for.
We really need to punish Leicester for ruining the chance to go for the record. 3 penalties in one game is just greedy.

The one I'd love us to beat is the consecutive league wins.

We set a new record of 18 in 2017/18 but Liverpool equalled it last season. It would be great if we could have the record outright again but to win another 7 in a row with the fixture congestion is a big ask.

We won't do it. The quiet neighbours will dick us, for starters.

"Mabel; how's that popcorn doing?"

IFAB and David Elleray have confirmed they do not class a penalties win as a win for the purpose of Sequences.

Need to make sure we beat the 20 now.
Only 4 EC wins for the dippers and 2 for the rags, happy fucking days!

I have a feeling we underappreciate our players. We must be boosting our players. We have to say foden is as good or may be better than Haaland and Mbappe. Surely better than Haaland as foden has won more trophies and plays in better league.
So Mbappe, foden and Haaland rivalry then.
Lets break this record as well.

I'm sure it must have been addressed on here since wednesday evening, but I'm too lazy to check! When's the last time we won both league fixtures on Merseyside in the same season? One for the anoraks out there!
