I’m not a violent man, but BR just has a face that needs punching
Of course. It won’t be someone with an equal trophy count but one who has the talent to peak at an elite club. Even Pep was once just some guy with visible potential.Indeed! You don't purchase players who are worse than what you had. Same with a manager. But who is better than Pep? I think when the time comes it will be a case of getting someone who is just 'different'!
I hope not as he is on my dislike list ;-)I have a feeling he will be City manager one day you know.
I don’t know why I just have a feeling.
Yes...but is he as good or better than Pep and if the answer's no then there isn't much chance of him coming here. Therein lies the problem when Pep calls it a day.
Me too.I have a feeling he will be City manager one day you know.

I have a big issue with this accepted narrative on the 2014 title race. They were nowhere near the title going into the season before they went on a decent run but we were clear favourites deep into the season. Liverpool were scoring a lot of goals and letting in a lot as well (no one wins a league letting in 50), but we scored more and let in a lot less. Everyone talks about the Gerrard slip handing the title over but no one talks about the Kompany mis kick clearance that let Suárez through or the hand ball punched clearance at their end which handed them the initiative in the first place. Until that point the league was in our hands.As the thread title suggests I’d like to hear what people think of Brendan as a manager.
I thought he was an arrogant tosser at Liverpool to be honest but I always respected the job he did there in a short space of time. He was successful at Celtic, albeit in a mickey mouse league, and got them playing some great stuff. Then at Leicester again he got them playing some good stuff in no time at all and looks likely to get them into the champions league at some point in the near future.
But overshadowing it all, the guy has this reputation of bottling it, with Liverpool throwing the title away and Leicester missing out on top 4 last year. So how good is he and could he potentially manage a club like our’s one day?
He put contract talks and the 100 k figure into the public domain, in the doco he was having a go at raz , he is completely different in his part in the witchunt , raz is polite when he was asked about him, no more no lessI don’t think it was. I might be wrong but I think that came from higher up in the skanky Liverpool corridors.
Sterling has always been positive about Rogers and Rogers said this about Sterling;
“He has incredible talent but this was a boy who looked after his body and his life to ensure that he could give himself every chance to do it. We developed him and he respected that. But his next challenge and ambition was to move on and I’m so happy with how well he has done. He’s mature now. For Raheem it was never about money. If it was about money he could have stayed at Liverpool. It wasn’t about that. It was about being the best he can be. And in that moment in time there was an opportunity to go to Manchester City, where they had top class players. He’s gone in there and developed and become a winner.”
I don’t know if that was a bit of backtracking but I don’t recall the vitriol about Sterling actually coming from Rodgers.
