You should check Brenford's record at home in the Premier League.
I was satisfied with the point and performance because I can see City improving and I expect further improvement when DIas and Bobb return
Yeah, I am aware that Brentford have been playing well at home this season, so I thought tonight might be tough for us ...... but my point is that teams like Arsenal and Forest have won there this season because they really WANTED the three points , and were absolutely determined to get them, just as we ourselves had done at Brentford during some of our previous title winning seasons ..... when you have players who are determined go 'the extra mile', you sacrifice everything to fight off ANY late onslaught from the home side in order to hold out for those three points, you mark opposition players properly, you block shots and crosses any way you can , you put bodies in the way and remain organised etc ..... i saw very little of that from City in that final 15 minutes tonight, aside from Ake blocking that shot on the line .... we were creaking at the back, losing midfield battles, and once they had pulled a goal back you just KNEW an equaliser was coming.
I can't excuse City because we had 15 minutes left to play, we had got ourselves into a great position, were two goals up, yet all we ended up with was one point ... and we could easily have lost all three!
For me it was poor defensive organisation, poor game management, and the midfield, at that late stage, were of little help either ..... we had no control over the game as Brentford poured forward in search of rescuing the match.
Bobb should give us an extra option, he's an exciting player ... but I would question Dias this season, he's full of injuries, and he's looked far from his best on the odd occasion that he's played.
