Have to agree apart from maybe the Laporte one. The diving from city players wasn’t great to see tbhi didnt see any problems with any of the VAR calls - take off your blue bias and you’ll see the ref got every major decision correct

A very needed harsh slap in the face!
We've been bad for a while now, relying on free kicks and pens and resting on our morals.
Yes the ref was fucking abysmal but so was most of our team.. our pressing was almost non-existant while Brentford's press caused us all types of problems.
Best player on City's side probably Laporte.. saved a goal, maybe 2, had no chance on 1st one by Toney.
Mostly it explains why City are getting Brentford's free kicks analyst because we had nothing from ours other than Foden's wonder goal and theirs caused us all sorts of problems.
My wife is saying the PL refs are corrupt.
Anyways I hope we have what it takes in the 2nd half of the season to catch up the 5 points Arsenal have on top of us and we have a much harder run.
I'd honestly say it's 60-40 now that Arsenal win the league this season.

They deserved the win and we deserved exactly what we got unfortunately. No point in blaming anyone as everyone was below par. Pep as well.

Step away from the league campaign for a period, concentrate on your national teams, and come back refreshed and raring to go. Also, we're a second half of the season team under Pep. I'm still optimistic about the season ahead.
Not sure the WC is going to refresh many of our players who will be playing, potentially deep.
