Brentford tkts on sale from Wednesday.

Back in the day the main concern was whether we'd take our full allocation, or just half.
Every now and again, for the odd games a season between about 2004 and 2007.

And even in those years we’d take 7,000 to Blackburn, 6,000 to Sheffield Weds, 4,000 to Bolton, 4,000 to Wigan etc. And sell out the 3,000 allocations at Villa, Newcastle, Sunderland, Everton etc.

Remember, that’s when ticket prices started creeping up to £50 to some grounds and over £60 for some London grounds.

Before then wed take up 3 sides of the ground at some aways in the third tier. And before then as well we’d take 12,000 to Leeds, 12,000 to Stoke, 9,000 to Oldham…

Everton we took 2000 in 2006, October around then was the nadir after 1,500 at Wigan. Surprisingly very few 18-25s those day.

Birmingham City Away! Some ridiculous ticket price because they knew we would.pay it. They got away saying that the charged home fans the same but reality was not really the equivalent in spirit.

Seem to remember there was a bit of an unorganised boycott of that Wigan game, due to the price.

I heard that years after, but it was 1245 and on telly, £35.

The Bolton one was more more public, it was £31 lower and £39 upper the year before, the prices were reduced to £28/£36 but City were only allowed to sell the £36 ones until the upper tier sold out due to the so-called boycott so it cost me more. Fans happy to pay more in Stretford.

I was just about to turn 19 and it was absolutely fucking shite
IT was beannie the horse era, just after fantastic Samara display v West Ham, but that was the first win for ages, so he kept it for Everton.

No drink bar Ribena there in those days.

Quite possible I’m remembering the talk years later rather than the actual event then.

I do seem to remember paying over £50 there one year though. But again, memory and reality are often very casual acquaintance’s these days.

Brady and her dildo peddling mentors justified charging us that on the basis it was same price as about 50 home corporate seats. Rip off twats
