When Iwas young I hated Kiddo played for us, I never celebrated his goals, I never sang his name on the Kippax but I do love him now and his influence is worthy.

Seriously? Kiddo was one of my favourite City players at that time, always gave everything for the shirt. His strike rate for City was also far better than for the rags.

Melbourne Heart were founded 5 years ago ,thats hardly the same as Cardiff's 115 year history as the bluebirds or Hull City's situation , im not a not a fan of changing tradition or colours but this club is still a foetus in the football world .
reading some aussie press articles about some outraged die hard Melbourne Heart fans refusing to follow the team if they change colours ??? what absolute ridiculous copycat fake outrage .the teams struck gold and being bought and rebranded as Melbourne City and will wear Light Blue get over it and move on, 15 years ago there was no pro teams now Melbourne has two and Manchester City are backing one to the hilt.

Parts of this thread are simply embarrassing.

It will be a sad day when Kiddo retires (which I thought would be last summer, maybe this one). He must have had a positive impact to be part of a backroom staff that has won the Premier League, F.A. Cup, and got to two further cup finals.

He's still at the top of his game in the role he is in now, he doesn't need to run all the training with the coaches we have.

I'd struggle to name a different English assistant coach that I'd be happy to take his place.

I don't understand why people on here say "get rid". He has been imho a big influence on our success over the past few years. He must have a good relationship with a lot of the players now and be a more calming influence around the club. Assistants don't really get the recognition they deserve but i bet if he would have gone with Bobby then we wouldn't have had such a smooth transition like we have had.
