At the end of the day - this position is the one we are most desperate to fill.

Its alright saying he is only worth 8 or 10m, but Chelsea would not be interested in selling at 8m, as they will have to go out and buy another left back.

Lets get the deal done and move onto the next one.

The facts:

Ball is shyte, Garrido is getting better but not a top6 left back

Bridge is a regular england squad player and excellent crosser of the ball. We're buying a target man who'll crave good crosses

Yes hes prob only worth £7-8m but add the fact its january and add the fact its chelsea thats why we'll pay 30% over the odds

BUT, he will drastically improve an area of the team that is weak and hopefully help ensure the LCB back does not constantly get pulled out of position (as Dunne has been this season)

3-4 weeks to get match fit is better that 3-4 months for an import to settle

totally agree with all that. Think getting experienced prem players in now will be far better off

so much for not being held to randsom, only down side to being richest club in the world.

If he saves us 10 goals a season so what!Thats what its all about and we've struggled there all season.

Can any players who have not played in UEFA cup play ?? Also has Bridge played Champs league and if so does this mean he can't play UEFA cup ?

Totally realistic. Bridge + City premium + Jan Window premium + Richest etc premium does not = £15m. Write out the cheque, stop the goals and move on to next target.

I just spoke to somebody close and he thinks he wouldn't be cup tied for uefa cup?
