How good is Cunningham? Because supposing we do sign Kolarov, he can't play the projected 60-70 games this season and as loyal as he is, Garrido is largely a liability. So if we sold Bridge, we'd have to play Garrido, Cunningham, or a non-specialist left back like Lescott when Kolarov (if we sign him) isn't available or needs resting.

if we sign Kolarov he will be first choice left back
boateng will be rightback and cover for left back( as he better than Bridge at left back)

that will give Cunningham at least another year to develop and try to stake his claim for the lb position

And with this talk about Bale and its looking ever more likely were getting Kolarov, i really think this could happen.
Only stumbling block would be wages i reckon

When Mascherano is sold they may have about 25 million to spend on players.

I'd let bridge go for about 10 million.

He is absolutely awful. At Leicester City he was so bad he was the butt of all jokes and ridicule on their forums.

Not good enough nor is Bridge, but Bridge is certainly a lot beter than him

I saw cunningham a few times last year, he is a shit wayne bridge. Every time he got forward, against bolton in the senior cup final, he was exposed and gave the ball away constantly.

Cunningham looked good against The Timbers. I could almost imagine that City will sell Wayne Bridge if good offers come in, and let Cunningham play second or third fiddle. There is also cover vy Lescott and Boateng (Richards och Zabalet cover left back)

According to the oracle that is SSN and their 'sources' then it looks like the dippers are chasing Koncesky from Fulham...

That should ensure Liverpool are a major force in the Premier again.....

I was thinking this might happen when our interest for Kolarov started getting concrete.

I don't think Wayne will be happy on the bench (I know he was at Chelsea, but he's getting on a bit now) and I think Garrido is adequate cover and happy to do that role (particularly now he has Silva to chat to).

Liverpool need a left back (at least one really) and much as we slag Wayne off, there aren't too many better options available to Roy - I don't think many people would say Bridge isn't better than Konchesky.

So yeah, I could see it happening. Fee + wages could be an issue of course. We'll see.
