To be fair, professional pride does not come in to it. He refused a loan move to Celtic where he'd have been earning the same money, just with Celtic paying a small % of it and us the rest.

Won't the league with Chelsea when ashley cole was injured for six months three england managers regulary selected him has suffered with injuries a lot which more than anything else has held him back.
