I think that team and formation would do great against the better teams in our league, and champs league, but we don't need 5 defenders against what was basically a championship team

For too long today was a carbon copy of what we seen last season. When we start off slowly it sets the tone for the whole match. Where have the lightening fast starts gone? the ones that blow the opposition away in the first 20 minutes. the early goal puts paid to this park the bus nonsense that we struggle to break down. No need for fern today at all.

Great win for me. Bouyant crowd, team used to winning, one of the longest treks in the league, 3 new players to the league introduced, few chances conceded, VK doing the 90, strength on the bench if required.

So when we scored over 100 goals and won the league under Pellegrini you were sat there not enjoying yourself were you? Or maybe you've just become a spoilt brat, as we had plenty of frustrating games in the 11/12 season that you have clearly just forgotten about

nay, that was a very entertaining season too. i concede i may have become spoilt in that i want more style, but i don't want to become a **** that cheers his ass off on wins a la Mourinho. obviously we are still a ways from that, thank fuck.

Good game overall and I'd say it was a 6.5/10 performance. My concern is not really about we missing sitters but that I thought our attack lacked a little more dynamism needed to get the job done more easily. Overall it was a decent performance. Hope we smash Rooney and company. Let's also not forget that we failed to win Everton in the league last season.
