Brighton (A) - Post Match Thread.

Shades of last season.
Total dominance but lack of cutting edge and always vulnerable from breakaways/ corners.
Thought Ederson and Danilo were poor and Sane when he came on.
Sergio took his chance well but missed an earlier sitter and a complete miskick in front of goal.
De Bruyne bossed the midfield but his final ball was poor.
Once again refereeing decisions always going in the opposition's favour.
Slow build up enabled them to get all their players back behind the ball.
We need more pace and to be more direct. Threading the ball through the eye of a needle isn't going to work against packed defenses.
Early days but a rethink of tactics and team selection needed.

It's going to be a long fucking season on here if we're going to have people moaning every time we take an hour to break down teams in comfortable away wins.

Distinctly average performance against a resolute bit clearly inferior opposition.

Even with two strikers we don't create enough to reconcile how wasteful we are.

We look rock-solid at the back but maybe the wing-back system should be reserved against the top teams, as otherwise we have them running into spaces where the natural attacking wingers are more called for.

Any possibility with Sanchez in Paris with his lawyer and agent, a move to PSG is on the table? Would certainly open the door for us with Mbappe and would please Arsenal and Monaco by not selling their stars to rivals. Everyone happy!

I'm convinced KDB sees 2 passes ahead
that ball for silva on the aguero goal I thought it should of gone straight to Sergio, but that inside ball freed aguero even more, he does have a bad habit of sloppy easy balls, cut that out and he will be our main man.ut looked as fit as ive seen him since he has been here,go stronger and stronger as the game went on.

We wasn't vulnerable from counters though. That was a big difference from last year, probably the most crucial in fact.

Oh, and we won, quite comfortably.
