Brighton (A) Post-Match Thread

Never seen such a gulf in class between two sides in the same league. We absolutely simpled them. Looking good at the moment. I think we will give Real Madrid a very hard time

I think the goal difference proves there’s not much between us and the scousers. There can’t be many times where the league winners don’t have the best goal difference like it’s goung to be this season.
Well as we well know, a goal difference of only 1 can sometimes be all that matters

To be fair, I actually think it is very unlikely we will ever do that.

I say that because we’re not Leicester: we have “bigger fish to fry”.

Once we hit 5 or 6 we shift back in to second gear, because we need to conserve our energy for the other two or three competitions we are still in.

We want to win everything, not just one specific match, so everything is about getting the job done, doing it well, and then looking to the next challenge when the result is secured.

We don’t want the 10-0, we want the four out of four and holistic domination.
Totally agree with this

16 goals in 3 games against the 17th 19th and 20th ranked defences in the league to break the goalscoring record.

Not impossible. Sterling said he wants the golden boot, KDB is desperate for the assist record...

I think the golden boot is out of the question, he’ll be taken off/rested with bigger games in mind.

16 goals isn’t unachievable But i think we will coast games a bit more now that the cup games are almost upon us, 3 up is when we tend to turn into 2nd gear keep ball and wait for the final whistle mode.

Brighton are nowhere near good enough to not have a plan b. I respect their manager for trying play that way but you have to change something when you've been robbed of possession for the 30th time in your own half.
