I saw that on the Short Highlights - that was my reason in an earlier post to state it was never a sending off.I haven't read every post on this thread but don't understand why so far no post I have read has mentioned what Welbeck does with his left arm. Take a look at the slow motion replays: he throws his left arm across Cancelo as part of a deliberate, and legitimate, attempt to get in front of our defender, and as a consequence the natural upward movement of Cancelo's left arm as he sprints back means that his arm makes contact with Welbeck's - but it is Welbeck that has made a deliberate unnatural arm movement in this situation, and as his arm comes down it locks with Cancelo's causing both players to fall. That is not even a foul by either player.
