I was thinking we might use the 3-5-2 against the better teams and 4-3-3 against teams we can dominate. We have played brilliantly pre seasons with this formation so I'm happy.

Personally I would have played one of Sterling or Sane. However it looks a strong bench.

I am too. Thought Toure had a good pre-season save the Utd match, whereas Fernandinho looked a bit off. Still pleased with overall line-up though.

Pep has spoke about the use of the 3-4-3 diamond midfield in the last three pre season matches so I think he'll go with it again. Either Yaya plays and one of De Bruyne or Silva miss out or he plays one of them at the pivot and has Stones or Kompany play as a libero. Alternatively, he plays one of them out wide and so Sterling and Sane are both on the bench.

Looks like this system but I didn't consider Fernandinho! If we are looking for goals late on then having Sterling and Sane coming off the bench is very useful.
