Brighton (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

Probably worth mentioning that Gundogan is yet to score in 9 games for Barcelona, so it might just be that Pep was able to get something more out of him in this system, which perhaps he may be able to do with Nunes, Kovacic and Rodri given the time.

I've mentioned previously, that Gundogan scored 8 league goals for us last season, of which 5 came in 2 games against Everton and Leeds.
Five in 2 games against Everton & Leeds? 2 v Everton, 2 v Leeds, have I missed something?

Ah my bad, in that case half of his league goals came in two games.
But they were important goals particularly the first at Everton which if I recall correctly was a thing of beauty. Deserves his name on a training pitch for that alone.

Can't disagree with you at all, but I think people are referring to volume of goals lost, rather than importance of goals lost.

The important goals will still be scored, it'll just need others to step up which they will, and who are we to question this team.

Let's not forget that both Rodri and Bernardo scored incredibly important goals last season.

That 1st Gundog goal at Everton was a Work of Art.
