Brighton (h) post-match thread

Pep I`ve always supported you but by fuck you dropped some bollocks tonight with not introducing more subs when some players looked absolutely shagged out.
Can`t you see what we can or is it down to stubborness.Ferno should have been brought on for either Kev or Rodri in that last 20 minutes.
I suppose you proved me wrong as we secured the three points but by fuck you need to think now and again that irrespective of their high profile some players can be substituted.
Too easy to take Foden off, he’s never going to moan is he. Sterling and Jesus the lesssaid the better.

We were never really under sustained pressure outside of maybe 5 minutes around 70 mins where we made life hard for ourselves, and these sorts of games will happen, this season especially, but the second half was shite. I'm much happier with this defence when you go 1-0 up, and if we are to win anything this season we'll probably have quite a few more results and games like this. Not much to dwell on, on to the next game.

Mate De Bruyne is our penalty taker, and he's been fine with the exception of that Liverpool miss, he obviously let Sterling take it to score and get some confidence back, no problem with that if the game had been finished, but to do that at 1-0 was ridiculous.
Agreed, but I definitely think Gundogan is better at it than Kev.

our shooting, again, what is going on?
the confidence should be there now, lets hope we keep it up.

fuck off BT arguing VAR should have given a foul in the buildup to our goal.

The pen on foden would 100% have been given if that was salah, and they'd argue at that pace any contact is enough to knock a player over.

grear result, solid at the back, hunger there, zinch and cancelo again doing really well as well. Foden, what a player when he is on form.

Table looking a lot better now.

Anyone ever expect Sterling to score these days?

Any chance he gets I just assume he will miss.

Only if it hits him on the way into the goal and he’s on the line. Then I’ll expect him to score.
He should never be allowed to take another penalty as long as Gundo or Eddy or Kev or Bernardo or Foden or Stones or Dias are on the pitch.

I can only imagine with it being so late in the game that sterling was offered the chance to score a penalty because his confidence looks gone these past couple of months. As for jesus, we need a striker now. Diego costa anyone?
