Not enough mobility at the backline. Rodri slow (understandable he was very tired) KDB and Bernado Cancelo 3 usual outball options were all marked by Brighton. Grealish did a lot of dropping deep to offer outball help but seems teammates not very interested to pass to him - got frustrated and taken off.

We really need to fix the fullback situation. Ake Stones or Akanji are not REAL fullbacks. I love them but it cannot last long. They don't have enough pace. Pep tried to be smart to shift Cancelo left and right to let the opposition guess. But with 5 sub rule the opposition can sub on a winger to target whichever the "slow" fullback side and run at him. It dragged the whole team performance down.

Pep’s tactics been sussed by decent managers, pressing us and not giving us time on the ball playing out

I think just quite a lot of our players are out of form right now and not playing well, sort of going between OK performances and bad performances, but because of haaland it's not really costing us too many points.

Feels like the first half of the 2021 season for me, except with a world class striker so we're mostly getting through it.

Sloppy performance overall but they're a decent side and they made us work for it.

Individual brilliance won us that one.

I think that was probably our worst performance of the season. We were poor all over the pitch. Apart from that brilliant pass to Haalnd for the first goal and a good save Eddie was shaky and his distribution was awful. The back four were poor with Akanji having his worst game for us. Kev was subdued but scored an an absolute beauty. Haaland played well. Mahrez - I dont have words !

However, we played badly and won - that’s what Champions do.

Three points but I’d prefer we made it more comfortable.

Akanji should definitely be centre back, he’s wasted at RB.
Mahrez having a very disappointing run of form.
