I wouldn't read into the post COVID selections too much. I'd give it a couple of more games before we can be more sure with commenting on these players.

I mean Pep's just come out and said Walker and Jesus are having their recoveries managed.

Before the Birmingham game Sterling had played more minutes all comps than anyone else...just ahead of Rodri

True enough, but Pep has pretty much played Sterling from the start every time he has been available for two seasons, even in his worst period of form.

He very rarely picks up injuries of any sort, so still always a surprise not to see him start.

It won't do him any harm to watch from afar.
