Nah, not true. We lost too many players and the ones left to pick from can't play together. It's the same as it was for the last years when Pep put out B teams and mish-mash teams in cups. We looked utterly clueless in most games even then. It was a myth that we always had two top quality teams to pick from. It seems that it's only when we have all our first choice players on the pitch that we can truly play. Any disturbance to the regulars and we fall to pieces.

Highest paid, and generally considered the best coach ever......Time to step up and prove it, his selections, his tactics, his players bought and sold ;) forget injuries....on paper at the start of the season, this team would still be favourites to win the league.
 
I know we’ve got injuries, but what the fuck is going on we’re so easily exposed to the counter it’s fucking ridiculous!

Nothing other than injuries and fatigue is going on. Otherwise, we'd be shit in the 1st halves vs Sportong and Brighton. We were good.

Would be difficult to win big trophies this season, too early to write us off, though.

Yes, he's not a finisher and his crosses and other passes into the box are often disappointing. He hasn't settled quite as quickly as some commentators suggest.
 
This Brighton side are pretty good,and showed up today where we are lacking.All very competent on the ball,but the big difference today was their physicality,all big,strong players who got stuck in.We looked like the seven dwarves in comparison.Too many old blokes n the team now.

Felt like watching a re-run of Tuesday. Totally dominant first half hour, should have been 2 or 3 up and game over.

Give them a bit of encouragement towards end of first half and then aelf destructed again.

Mentally weak at the moment when things go against us, only one winner as soon as that first went in.

Substitutions had exactly the opposite affect that we needed. KdB - sad to watch at the moment, an absolute shadow. Hopefully the 2 week break now gets some fitness into him and he can start making a positive difference.

I think any half decent team with a bit of nous about them will beat us at the moment.

Could get worse before it gets better unfortunately, Spurs and Liverpool up next and both have the players to absolutely exploit our current weaknesses quite easily.

Every dog has its day and we have. We'll be pretty much on the same downward spiral the rags have been for 10 years.

But that's football. You can dominate forever. English football history tells us that.

I've had a great 3 years supporting city, since 2021 because I wanted to support Grealish but I've lost hope.

I watched the game where we were best for a good hour and should have been 2 up, as usual we weren't and their comeback probably deserved a draw overall.

When the game went a bit scrappy at nil 1 was the time to hook a couple off (i'm not saying who, although Gundog is struggling and would be another to consider).

Just because we finished shite doesn't mean we deserved to lose.

I don’t think we stopped trying to score-we were completely outplayed. Fatigue, injuries, quality….
 
Never thought I’d see the day Brighton had more inspiring subs than us when I see oriley and pedro come on I knew we were snookered

Much more than injuries for me. We have too many players who need to go. Those injured are always injured too
