Brighton & Hove Albion (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

Not disputing that but his decision making is terrible and he is too lightweight.

Probably playing too much as we have no choice but he can do so much more with his ability.

He doesn't score or create so everything he does is wasted.

Should have had about half a dozen assists during this poor run we are on.

May come good but not a patch on Mahrez, yet.
He's light years ahead of where Mahrez was at the same stage of his career. Plus, all the same people criticising Savinho were doing exactly the same to Mahrez when he first signed for us. People never learn.
If he gets 8 goals and 10 assists for us this season, that's a great start for us. I think he's more than capable of reaching those figures. He's got all the tools required to be a great player.

Until the 70th minute we were still there and making chances, even if we did come out for the 2nd half like lost sheep. Incredibly poor to concede that 2nd goal in the fashion we did. Need to move on Nunes, patent;y not good enough, and possibly even Grealish who I don't think cares enough. Kova had a good first half but he's no Rodri, not even close.
To be fair, Kova was bought to play with Rodri not replace him.

This^^^^
To be honest, I wrote this season off before it began. There's no way a team can carry on these types of performances (season after season). I decided to embrace it as the last few years have taken a toll on me (God knows how the team must feel). The constant of pressure of expectation is a killer. Every game a must win takes it toll. To be honest, bizarrely, it's quite nice to watch a football match pressure free for a change. Whatever happens going forward (even if we don't win anything again), It's been an absolute pleasure to witness the best team in the world during my lifetime. Something I never thought I'd ever witness again.
Spot on, same here, I watched the game with my 75 year mate today and we were both a bit pissed off but we had a couple of beers and he said as he left our house, "we've seen worse"!

We move on, I've always felt bad after a negative result but it's not the end of the world.

We scraped through the Wolves game and we hosted Soton and everyone expected 7-0 result it was 1-0 and they some attacks in the end that could have cost us dearly. the two CL games vs shit opponents also created a false belief we are not in bad form but we were.
also the amount of injuries we cant handle it, only Haaland can be delighted with himself so far this season and even he had 3-4 horrible games but at least scored on all others which is why we have as many points in the league.
injuries aint a reason that almost none of the non-injured are in good form.

still no one chipping in with goals, att. midfielders and wingers aint scoring. dont know how much longer we can afford that our top scorers in the league are Haaland, then a big gap and Gvardiol, Kovacic, Stones. Will it be February when a winger or a creative mf can overtake Stones and his two goals? if yes, we then will be 12-15 points behind in the league.

Kova is not a DM. Never has been, not even at the international level. The fact that he's an exceptional footballer has allowed him to step in and do a credible job.
