REALLY !!
Then how do you account for the number of times you have seen worse shirt pulling from corners with NO action being taken ????

That's usually in a melee with everyone pushing and pulling. He pulls the defender by his shirt that takes him out of the game, it's a foul and if it was allowed against us I'd be fuming.

Only saw the last bit of game, but come on, there is no way that goal was going to stand, everyone needs to get their tin foil hats off and accept that a goal is always going to get scrutinised and his pull made a huge difference to getting to that ball.

I‘m the worst for thinking refs and var are bent against us but even I think that decision to rule out the goal was correct.
Explain why so many corners are NOT also scrutinised in the same manner with shirt pulling ???

I’m slightly puzzled (no comments thank you!!) Did Pep Guardiola say that the players left behind were left because they had hangovers or is this just fans surmising that that is why they were left behind?

I know the lads went out after Sunday’s game but I didn’t read anything about any of them being drunk. Or am I being either naïve or just plain daft? :-)

Answers on a postcard to the care of Matron please for the attention of the daft old woman! ;-)

Motivation and hunger is still strong and players are well managed to get the right amount of football they need to stay on top of their game.

Not sure how we will line up on Sunday you could be right but we will go full strength injuries aside for the final two games and we won't die wondering.
Mate our motivation & hunger took a serious bashing after Arsenal's loss on Saturday.

We played our whole second string against the Chavs, but I find it disconcerting that our squad couldn't wait for two weeks for a title piss up.

It's these small margins that ultimately count, & we've already seen the effect of coasting through the last few league games before major finals has had on us previously.

When you've been on the razz & are tired & recovering from a heavy session on the keg, that's when players can pick up silly injuries just as has happened with Foden & Stones tonight.

I seriously hope this doesn't come back to bite us on the arse. The apparent OTT late night celebrations on Sunday/ Monday were so unnecessary, & if we fail to win our next three matches, attention will turn back to the small details that could've made a difference.

I'm pissed off! :-/

We beat Everton 5-0 on the last day of that season.

Too many short memories around. These lads have been nothing short of astonishing these past three months. Four points from six since winning the league is a very good return. Cut them mance

What the fuck do you people want, 100mph every match then they're knackered for the final? 5 tiles in 6 seasons, 4 league cups, a FA Cup and final to come, CL final and another to come. FFS just enjoy the ride and stop whinging at every little spell where we're not at 100%.

Players all know it's not necessary when we've already won the title, and they're not going to take unnecessary risks with the finals looming. Nobody screwed up FFS, we didn't even lose the match against probably the best other footballing side in the league.

Absolutely ludic

Oh fuck off
Thanks for your charming reply, the events of two years ago are facts and really did happen, of course we are all getting hyper about the possibility of doing the treble but less of the personal insults please.

I wonder if De Zerbi is The Pep’s ‘chosen one’?

We could get a thousand miles out of that if he was, and if he was a success.

But did lose to them in the semi-final unless you had forgotten?

That's it in a nutshell. The rags don't have to be better than us they just need to hang in there, hit us on the break or go to penalties. Just like they did against Brighton.

Robbed of a win.

Haaland goal should have stood.

Hope the injuries not too bad.

That’s all folks.

Pep taking to Mac allister didn’t look like I will see u next season. Off to dipperland i think.
Fuck me, I've picked my nose harder than that. Goal should have stood.

Thanks TBC, here you go @Eccles Blue , according to Pep, “John Stones felt a bit tight”. I wonder what muscle felt tight? lol A good run down with an oily rag should do it, my Dad used to say:)
I'd imagine that @Eccles Blue would be willing to, er, lend a hand.

Er, should the need arise.

Bloody hell you are hard to please.

Team has been playing flat out for weeks, celebrated winning the PL only three days before. An away draw on a Wednesday night to a very capable team is alright in my books.
Yeah, like I said it was a dead rubber, how we played didn't really matter and the result is alright! I might be hard to please but if I see us concede more chances in a game than we've done all season, almost twice as many as we created ourselves, I'm not gonna sit here and pretend that was great :) But we didn't need to play great, we only needed to avoid getting any injuries and we (hopefully) managed to avoid that so mission accomplished!

I`ve been having the same "discussion" in my local with other City fans and all Ive heard from the rest of `em is "he hasn`t proved himself yet" !!
Erm we all had a disagreement but suffice to say the majority didn`t agree with me !!
If Vinny isn`t our next Manager then lets not fuck about and get this lad to be our next "chosen one".

It's more about managing the players, not so much resting any. HOWEVER, I'm a bit miffed that our squad couldn't wait two weeks to have a title piss up!

What is it with English football & fuckin booze? They're highly paid professionals, but our season is far from over so why the fuck they can't wait until the 11th of June to either have their piss up or drown their sorrows is beyond me!

Surely remaining professional & focused for another 20 days isn't beyond our club? :-/
Were you there or are you just jumping to conclusions. The players that really matter aren't needed until June 3, don't understand why some are losing the plot because some players may have had one piss up.

Good entertaining game typical of an end of season encounter, end to end from two good sides.

Thankfully the result not that important.

Hope the injury scares are not serious.

Rico looks special and Im sure Pep can see it too, good assist from Cole as well, even if var scrapped it.

Brighton are good to watch, shame they couldnt push into the top four at the rags expence.

That ref though, looks proper shit, but is the sort to doggedly carry out orders given over his earpiece for the powers that be...........ideal for pigmol.

On way home from the match…

Thoughts are defence is wide open without Dias.
Ortega is class ..
Phil was unreal first half ..

Haaland goal looked harsh to me …

Oh and for interviewed by sky before the game but sort of abused them and their agenda so guess it was never shown ..

Cracking match. Could have gone either way. Would have been completely different if we'd been at full strength - we'd have murdered them.
I hope the big boy gets a goal at the weekend, but, in any case, he's bagging a hat trick at Wembley.
Ensiso looks like he could be a bit special. But I'm not going to judge him on that goal as our defending was shite, and he had an age to set himself up. What a fuckin' strike though!
Unbeaten and 8 points clear on level games with the Arse, having been 8 points behind them - what a superb effort to turn that around so brilliantly.
Tonight was a great test.
Cole Palmer did well, as did Lewis and Foden. What a fuckin' future we have to look forward to still, despite all the joys of the last decade - it just keeps building!

To get De Zerbi we’d have to sack Pep! De Zerbi will be at a rival before Pep leaves.
Let's wait until he's had another good season with Brighton before we start shitting ourselves about whether he goes to a rival club.

He looks good, but the challenge will come next season as teams figure out how to play against them.

Could be another Pep, could be another 'Next Big Thing' who turns out to be a bottle job with no plan b à la Pochettino.
