Brighton Thread - 2023/24 | De Zerbi is leaving (pg 6)

Brighton look like a well disciplined and well structured club, and I hope they continue, although we have seen this before many times, where a club appears from nowhere gets loads of plaudits sticks around the PL for a few years and then fades away in to League 2 obscurity

Brighton … if only the UK media could recognise and churn out copy on a decent team, a well run club, a superb scouting dept, an intelligent manager… a model of competitive football - that you can rise up from the brink of going bust to reach the heights, and that top football isn’t all about a Neanderthal cartel group pining for the past and being whored out for clicks.

‘Brighton’ beat united - ‘what’s going wrong at united’
United beat a ‘Brighton’ - ‘united are back and flying’

It’s boring, it’s nauseating, and hopefully at some point a TV executive will be appointed that goes ‘hang on, why are these dinosaurs waffling on week after week about the past for exhorbitant wages, let’s get rid, get some accurate and factual balance in and grow the entire viewership’

Exactly this. The UK media are short-sightedness and greedily obsessed on clicks and advertising revenue. If only broadcasters would see the bigger picture. Unfortunately they won't.

Or…

Give Nedum a chance on a mainstream, national football provider.

He’s intelligent, articulate, well educated and a Blue.

Top 4 dark horses for me, said it at start of season, they control the opposition really well and have a coach that knows the game and players that suit their system perfectly

We haven’t seen a club run with data to the extent that Brighton are from top to bottom. They’re not going anywhere unless other teams get as good with data which, given Bloom is fairly unique, is unlikely.
