Bring the Noise

Thanks for all the positive comments. And the great feedback. I’m sure the club and 1894 will discuss the feedback at the next meeting.

Just to clarify. Trevor, Lucas and Dante run 1894. They all put a lot of time and effort into 1894, especially Trevor, who is in constant contact with the club, organises us, paints banners, organises the match day displays, etc. They rest of us, including me, wave the flags, do the drop down banners, help with the displays, and attend meetings with the club.

As Trevor has stated on a few occasions, 1894 are always looking for helpers on matchdays. If anyone is interested in helping out, joining 1894, or just want talk to us, we stand on the concourse at the back of block 115, close to the away end, metal barrier. Please come over, have a chat, and join us. We don’t bite. :-)

Well done to you all, there will always be moaners but it's great to have someone trying to create an atmosphere in the ground.

The people complaining about the megaphone etc. are mostly not in the singing section and don't want to move , so they aren't doing a lot to improve the atmosphere while also hampering other peoples efforts to improve it.

Tradition can't last for ever, especially if it is not working. Please join the efforts of 1894 and everyone else trying to improve the atmosphere. Lots of teams have better atmospheres than us in Europe and that is what the team is going to hear during games. It don't matter to them if it started "organically", they are hearing supporters supporting them, which is the most we can do. So we can achieve that by changing or go to football games like watching a movie and come back .

Still haven't got a response for this but : are we allowed to have the flags up during the game?

Please don’t think that I (and others) are moaning about peoples’ effort, time, proactivity, songs, encouragement of others to get involved, banners, flags, displays, ideas... we really aren’t!

A good 700 fans in the Singing Section chanted “what the fucking hell is that?” at the drum on Tuesday. It’s not just people away from SSL1 who don’t want a drum.

A few people mentioned there was no abuse at the drummer and there was only a bit of lighthearted banter. It doesn't match your perspective of it. You obviously don't care about making the atmosphere for the team, rather for yourself.

I never mentioned the word abuse. Lighthearted banter it may have been but it was for a reason.

And don’t tell me what I “obviously” do or don’t care about.
