Bristol City (A) - FA Cup | Post Match Thread

Enjoyable game, once we got the second goal! It was always going to be a bit tough, an away game against a commited team. They have a few good players but overall we coped well. Really pleased we kept a clean sheet.

Doesn’t it make a difference with no VAR, no stop, start. No messing about waiting for your goal to get chalked off, just cheering when the ball goes in, how radical is that? Both teams looking at going forward, trying to score a goal, entertaining because isn’t that what football is supposed to be about? Plus, yes a home draw to one of tonight’s winners would be fine;)
It made a huge difference to how much i enjoyed the match, which flowed better. VAR free footy, the future

Good win. They played well I thought. Very energetic and tenacious.

Phillips should be shining in games like this and he just isn’t. Either he can’t be arsed, is struggling with confidence or isn’t good enough.

I still think the three at the back inverted stuff makes us look awkward and far to easy to cut through.

Alverez is better as a ten than a focal point. So far.

The spine of the team is the most important for me. And it looks weak without Rodri.

back in the car and that caps a sleep deprived few weeks for me having been to Arsenal, forest, Leipzig, Bournemouth and Bristol tonight. All I can say is how blessed I am and any match going fan is to experience this city. A city with a manager who ensures the players go over after every away game and show appreciation and who he himself genuinely cares and we’ve shown him our appreciation with some great support especially at arsenal, Bournemouth and tonight. I love this club and hopefully we can win some trophies this season, but even if we don’t what a club!

Possible banana skin averted, job done. Anyone think Rico does a better job in midfield than Kalvin. He seems to know where he should at any given time whereas Kalvin doesn’t. Good to see Phil near to his best and Ake has to be the best left back in the league at the moment. Let’s hope for an easy draw next round.
We don't get easy ones - Liverpool, The Arse, CFC and if it's lower league it's away! I want the softest team left at home. Not too much to ask for!
