Shooting innocents, was a disgrace, such as the grocer brothers, but killing unarmed IRA men who they knew were shooters? That's fine in my book.

I personally would prefer to live in a free, democratic society where EVERYONE lives under the rule of law.

How many tales of murder and uber-cowardice are we going to find out in years to come about our "brave British boys" in Afghanistan, Iraq etc..? My guess is dozens and dozens.

It's not just the cold blooded murder of civilians that gets to me, you kind of expect that from the British army, it's the fucking arrogance of these shithouses, as they know full well they are untouchable.

There was a fella in Germany in the 30's used to think like that. I forget his name, but he had a funny moustache and a kind of greasy flick haircut. His soldiers did similar things. Like ours.

How about walk a mile in their shoes and face the situations they face and see if you feel the same? I wouldn't call battle hardened troops who have been through the shit arrogant shithouses. It is pretty simple really,if the people who were murdered were paramilitaries their respective organisations would have claimed them.Those that were'nt claimed were civilians.British army death squads are not new to Ireland and this unit was'nt the only one that operated in NI.

Shit argument mate. You quite rightly condemn the IRA but defend the army for acting in a very similar manner to them. Can't have it both ways I'm afraid.

It's similar to the argument the other week regarding the soldier shooting the Taliban guy. The British army supposedly practice within a greater moral compass than terrorist. These incidents show the army sometimes act with the same compass as terrorists. Which makes them terrorists themselves surely.

Yup the BBC are notorious for demonising the British Army.

They have had several failed attempts. I remembered when they used a very amateur journalist to join up and go to Catterick and film 'bullying' undercover. That was probably the worst documentary I have ever seen. Another was trying to turn Sandhurst in to a reality tv show which was shot with a huge anti war agenda.

100% proven innocent civilians were killed in cold blood in Northern Ireland by the British army.

The difference between the IRA and the British Army in NI, was that the army killed civilians by mistake. They were going after the terrorists. The IRA on the hand killed indiscriminately.
