British open Golf 2012..Tips thread

Posting my selections here, so I can check them when out and about over next couple of days. No one pulling up any trees, so the only aftertiming is of bad tipping.

Really enjoyed today, sat at the 12th hole most of the day and watched them all go by... biggest following was predictably for Tiger Woods.


Tom Watson also got a big following. Fuck knows why anyone would want to follow one player, get your arse in a stand at the top overlooking the course behind and your cruising.

One thing i'm going to do tomorrow though... take binoculars, pain in the arse sat there debating amongst 10 of you who the fuck is over the other side of the course that just got a huge cheer.

Glad you enjoyed it, Golf is one sport I do think is better on TV

I wouldn't be so sure on that, perhaps the sport itself yes... but it seems much bigger than that, it's almost like a festival.
 
Went to Lytham yesterday and had a great time.

Bit of advice for anyone going over the weekend - sit in the grandstand by the 4th green. From there you can see over the 2nd green, 5th tee, and of course the 4th green itself. Great vantage point.
