He only signed a new deal in December after only joining them the previous season. If he was that unsettled he could of not signed the new deal and then said at some point I want to leave.Ray, a release clause being triggered and a player willing to leave means everything. Nothing can be done by the club he plays for. He wants to leave and RC is triggered, then its bye, bye.

It makes sense for him to sign that contract because it guarantees him future money while still having the option to leave. It is a win win for him. He may very well like playing Newcastle, but an opportunity to play for Pep may be too big an opportunity to pass up. Jack Grealish signed a new deal the summer before he joined City. It doesn't mean anything and we don't know what Bruno is thinking.
